January 27, 2007 … Well, it’s official. GAVYN.com has announced that the D-List champion herself will host the 2007 GAYVN awards show. Bravo’s star will MC the event on February 24 at the Castro Theater in San Francisco. Did ‘D’ stand for dick all this time?

Griffin has a long career history in film and television, but has really come into her own with her smash show the “D list”. You may not know that she has done animated voices - including The Simpsons, and appeared on the X-Files.Quoting in the GAYVN article Griffin says: “I’m thrilled that ‘my gays’ have asked me to join them for their big event,” Griffin, known for her rapid fire humor, said. “I can’t wait to skewer my favorites.” According to GAYVN, excerpts from the show will be aired on Bravo.

Chi Chi LaRue has done a fabulous job in past years. I think she is deserving of a rest to sit back and enjoy the show. The past has provided interesting moments where Chi Chi announced she was a nominee, then the award winner. Then she spun around to change character to receive the award from herself! Now - that’s talent! At least this year, Chi Chi and Michael Lucas won’t be on stage at the same time. That’s always a recipe for disaster, I mean, an interesting moment of confrontation. Last year proved to be chilling with ice being thrown around the audience.

Not that Kathy Griffin can’t handle a bunch of fags! She has a quick, sarcastic wit that should prove both entertaining and managerial at times. If she’s on her game, this should be an incredible show. I’m sure ‘her people’ will have the venue prepped for the diva. If not, there will be hell to pay!

A number of years ago Griffin did a television show where she interviewed a bunch of gay guys and then selected two to have a ‘date’ with that evening. I was one of the interviews, but not chosen for the date. She ended up selecting a few over-the-top twinks. Alas, a perfect visual. She does look like a dominant top! I hope her wardrobe doesn’t include a strap-on!

The Plot Thickens …

January 26, 2007 … As it turns out, Kocis’ law firm filed a lawsuit against Brent Corrigan for breech of contract for $1 million dollars in federal court.

It seems that Corrigan didn’t appear in all his agreed upon scenes and registered another version of his porn name that was owned by Cobra Video.

Further, Corrigan had falsied his ID’s and performed underage forcing Cobra to pull films prior to his becoming an adult causing sigificant expense to the production company.

The suit was scheduled for settlement conference on February 21. However, it appears that won’t be happening.

Attorney’s for Cobra were unavailable for comment as of this article. For more information CLICK HERE. 

Further information can be found at the newspaper breaking the story. A reward for information about the murder of Kocis has been announced and it is said that a they are looking for a driver of a light-colored SUV observed leaving the scene of Kocis’ home before the murder.

Breaking News … Cobra Owner Murdered …

January 25, 2007 … As reported by Doug Lawrence of Gayvn on both Gayvn and in AVN, Cobra Video owner Bryan Kocis was found dead in his fire-damaged home on Wednesday night. The report initiated on CitizensVoice.com. According to their website, they will have more information on Friday.

Cobra has a very hot website, producing gay bareback content with hot young men. Kocis lived in a conservative neighborhood in the Dallas Township.

The police have confirmed that Kocis was murdered prior to the fire. The coroner confirmed that it was a violent murder from multiple stab wounds. The house was then set ablaze to hide the evidence. Kocis had to be identified by dental records.

“Crimes of this type are not typical robbery” said one industry insider adding that “this kind of pre-meditated violence is a crime of passion”.

Top gay industry professionals spent the afternoon calling each other with their own speculation. While the police have stated that there are no suspects, they haven’t ruled out his connection with pornography. Insiders are speculating - but at this time it would be inappropriate to print any of that gossip.

Sex … Politics … You Gotta Love It …

January 21, 2007 … The GAYVN awards are just a few weeks away. If you haven’t gotten a slew of emails from the studios, you have a great spam filter. Everyone is bragging about their nominations and offering special sales on their DVD’s.

If you haven’t checked out the site at GAYVN.com, you may have to wait. The site is down this weekend, and they just might be doing the site update that was planned 60 days ago.

“Friends of God” premeires on HBO on January 25th. The documentary was produced by the daughter of Nancy Pelosi, Alexandra Pelosi. The film follows the religious right and documents well the inner-thinkings of the group. It is only now getting attention as Haggard, who backed the project, was ousted due to his little male prostitute and meth situation.

Alexandra also produced “Journeys With George” from his first Presidential campaign. This looks like good watching, and appears to be an interesting piece to our new and upcoming political puzzle.

Speaking of which, the supreme one of all, Hillary R. Clinton has announced her candidacy. Wow. The first woman, and oh, what a woman. And as an added bonus, can you imagine Bill Clinton as the First Husband? Pinch me, is this real? We can have him involved for a third, maybe fourth term? Where do i sign up? He can take over the East Wing, put in glory holes and I’ll be the first in line to blow him! (I think our leaders should be relaxed. I mean who wants a stressed leader with access to the nuclear launch codes?!)

Heather Reznor, publicity goddess for Michael Lucas has moved on to new opportunities. We wish her the best here from GayPornSpace. Heather is a class act. She managed to spin Lucas to new heights. Michael is a mix of personality. A self-made success. An ego larger than anything. Genuinely nice with vision, and at the same time he can be a total jerk. Las Vegas Adult Expo Coverage

January 14, 2007 … Following are my notes from my visit to Las Vegas over the last few days …

THURSDAY … Everyone glad to see each other. The show floor was filled with hot men, beef from here to eternity - broad muscled shoulders and tight asses everywhere.  Cock-sure facial expressions let you know that there was a lot of confident action swinging in their pants. Honest - the number of hot guys here is enough to make a sane person faint! Talk about testosterone everywhere!

Well, making the rounds, the porn girls were everywhere in their stiletto heals and fish net stockings. Hot. Then off to the gay section, and there were the Straight College Men. WOOF! Okay, I get it guys. You’re straight - but you’re in the gay section. So let’s enjoy the fact that you’re hot and don’t stress over it. Mom won’t find out you like to suck cock
 
Then next door and I got to say hello to one of my favorites, Ms. Chi Chi LaRue. Fabulous as usual, the porn diva shared some amazing plans for 2007. I can’t break confidence with her on this - but her PR person is going to start sharing some very special things with the GayPornSpace audience and I can tell you that her big special projects for this year are going to be amazing… 

Across the way from Ms. LaRue’s guys were the men from Hot House. Talk about night and day! They’re all delicious. I had a chance to talk to Director extraordinaire Steven Scarborough. You know what’s great about this guy? He’s uber successful, yet he’s so easy to talk to. Just a totally normal human being. And that smile. Let me tell you - if anyone were the perfect husband … Well enough of that. From there, my feet were screaming at me. My dog sitter text messaged me to tell me that my dogs snore louder than anything she’s ever heard!  But that they were happy and spoiled and full of kisses…  Back to the show floor to get more info … Tonight is “the” big Channel 1 party… More blog in a while… (Time for a power-nap!)

Okay, rested and ready to go, the Channel 1 party doesn’t even start until 10 PM. The bash is being held at Piranha, aptly named after the evil little fishies that fill all the aquariums!  It was awesome. Hot studs, tight asses, flopping cocks and muscles galore everywhere. The smell of testosterone was flowing in the air, along with many drinks.  Pierre Fitch and his agent spent some time with me, unfortunately clothed. Besides all the crazy dancing and partying, I ran into my favorite webmaster, Michael from gaypornblog.com. It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other and he looked great. In attendance were many of the hottest porn studs in the business - many of them dancing away on the stage in their Aussiebum underwear. Yes, they are as good as you can imagine. The fabric gripped their asses, and the new model pushed their packages out and up front on awesome display. Many of the hottest stars in the business were in attendance, but one stands out in a major way - Francois Sagat. That shaved, tattooed head demands attention. Oddly, you would think with his looks he would be an extrovert, but in reality he’s a really private guy. Totally sweet!

There were a few back rooms for business with views over the 2 story dance floor. It was like a cross from the back dens of a French Bordeaux or an upscale sex club.  It was a quiet refuge from the insanity - and in one case, a hot display where two hotties got into each other and briefly sucked each others cocks. Now that was HOT.

Speaking of sucking… an “un-named” executive from a major production company was seen to be sucking face in a corner of the bar. Hmmm … I wonder if this is just an extension of his business strategy in repositioning the company. I’m sure whatever the strategy is long-term, it was horizontal by nights’ end! You nasty boy LOL!

It was another long day ahead, so I left the party, still in full swing, at 1:30 AM. Talk about cold outside!

FRIDAY … The final day… Last nights’ cold left the ground covered with ice, and there were snow flurries all over town and in the surrounding mountains … The show has different trade hours than the fans. The fans still are crazed as ever - trying to get a picture or calendar of their favorite star. But the countless meetings are over. And the all night networking events are done too. People are packing their booths slowly and dragging their feet as the shift gears mentally to go home - including me. I can’t wait to take off and get home to my dogs. But once again, it proved itself to be the event of the year and friends throughout the business had a chance to smile, hug and do business together - a rare combination - for which I am truly grateful. Many new toys were on hand - my favorite, the fuck machine - which uses the front end of a kitchen blender to operate. I never would have thought of that!

In the midst of this, the GAYVN nominations were announced. CLICK HERE to see all the nominations and information about the show next month in San Francisco. Congratulations go all the nominees.  Rumors are flying about who is hosting in San Francisco in February. Vegas or Bust …

January 9, 2007 … I just spent the better part of two days talking to industry stars, directors and friends who will be at the porn industries big show in Las Vegas over the next few days. There will be a lot of action on the trade show floor, and parties and after parties.

I can’t tell you how excited I am to meet some of the hottest new models in the business. In fact, here’s a tease of Pierre Fitch, whose site I’m reviewing this weekend when I get back if I have enough energy left. Few sites get me going, and this is one of them. The sexual energy and fun of this site is simply contageous.

In other major news, Apple introduced their new iPhone and AppleTV today completely over-shadowing the entire Consumer Electronics Show from their own MacWorld Expo. This it it. Today will be the day that forever changes how electronics interact in your home. The new AppleTV allows you to integrate your PC or Apple computer with your TV or monitor of any kind. Check out the Apple website - but don’t be surprised if it’s running a bit slow. This is huge news!

Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas

January 7, 2007 … Next week is the Adult Expo in Las Vegas. An annual convention where all the studios and adult industry from around the world fly in and peddle their wares.

You have to be 18 and part of the industry for most of the good events. Each year I look forward to the “little people” (which is politically correct for midgets) walking around dressed in leather yelling “Who’s your daddy”?

Well, my flight leaves Wednesday and there is the main show, dinner parties, parties, business parties and after parties. And those are the legit parties. Then there’s the Hustlaball. That’s a different world all together. It’s the circuit party of them all. No apologies about pushing boundaries at this one. At their Berlin event, where prostitution is legal, they even have live sex and fisting at the party. Here in the US of A, it will be more tame to say the least - but the mist riotous of parties to be imagined. The guest list is extensive including Bruce Vilanche, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgance, Shequida, Eric Rhodes, Tony Mecelli, Marco Paris, Jason Adonis (gag), Adam Killian, Christian Owen, Eddie Stone, and a whole lot more!

Last year Jenna Jamison had the best booth of anyone. The gay section was a bit weak. But when it comes to parties, all the straight guys can think to do is have lap dances. The gay companies, on the other hand, throw the best parties of the show. Limos, planes, mansions, go-go boys, the best drinks, the best other things that no one talks about or admits to - it’s all there. These are moments that you only read about in “Letters to Penthouse” or in a book that seems so unreal that it’s impossible to believe. Trust me - if it’s outrageous, it will happen this week in Las Vegas.

I can’t resist sharing Ford’s new ad for the F150 truck. I’m not sure if it’s me, or if Fords’ campaign is a bit confusing. Looking at the ad, I only see a handsome face and the word sandwiched. Then there’s another piece that you notice below, and if you read the fine print - you see the two parts are related. Well, whatever the case, deliver me an F150 anytime with a guy like that at the wheel. Now that’s called packaging in anyone’s book!
